bon*fiber is located in Northwest Missouri. We (my hubby and me) live in the country. It's a wonderful place to work and play. We both have creative interests to keep us busy. I do my fiber thing and my husband is a bit and spur maker.
I learned to weave, knit and crochet as a child but really didn't do much with fiber until my kids were grown. I'd always crafted with acrylic yarn. Then one day, a friend took me to her LYS....that was the beginning of the end. I found "natural fiber" yarns to be amazing! I became intrigued with all the wonderful, and very different types of yarns and fibers available. One thing led to another and before long I was dyeing wool and spinning my own yarn. This has become my passion....beautiful colors and lovely soft fiber.
By day I teach k-5 art and in my spare time, I enjoy playing with fiber...which keeps me pretty busy! My studio is outside which is a perfect setting with lots of inspiration.... but in the winter, I take it to the kitchen.
We also enjoy spending time on our farm, riding, roping and hanging out with family and friends. We love living where we do and feel lucky to be surrounded by so many wonderful people and animals.
